After reading the AP News article titled "Don't panic: How parents can deal with internet hoaxes" I learned a lot about the usage of the inverted pyramid and the power of credible sources. The article begins with a description of the internet hoax "Momo" and as it continues it slowly debunks the hoax and explains how and why parents should monitor, filter, and control the content their children are exposed to. Mae Anderson, the reporter for this piece, used the fact checking source "Snopes," got a statement from Youtube, and interviewed an expert on children's media. This strengthens her argument and increases her credibility.
